The Holy Cities of Galilee: Tzfat and Tiberias

Tzfat and Tiberias  are the holy cities where Talmud and Kabala were compiled. We’ll start our tour in Tzfat visiting the important historical synagogues of Yosef Caro, HaAri and Abuhav. We’ll tell you the story of this city and try to feel it by visiting the artists quarter, the market and the old turkish headquarter. Finally we’ll visit the old cemetery of  Tzfat and drive to Tiberia. After the visit in the ancient synagogue, tomb of Rambam and a tour in the old part of the city we can finish the day at the hot springs of Tiberias or sailing in the Galilee sea (Kinneret).

Follow the Sanhedrin’s footsteps in Galilee: Beit Shearim, Sepphoris, Tiberias:

After the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem (70 CE), the Galilee thrived as a Jewish center till the middle age. We start our tour in Beit Shearim hometown of Rabbi Judah the Prince. We then proceed the Sepphoris, regional center in Roman times and the site Where R. Judah compiled the Mishna. Upon lunch time we reach Tiberias, and tour the modern and ancient city.

The Golan Heights: Kibutz Kfar Haruv, Gamla, Katzrin, Hamat Gader

We start from a scenic view from Kibbutz Kfar Haruv. Then we drive to heroic Gamla city from the period of Roman siege during the Great Revolt. Upon lunch time we reach Katzrinwhere visit Katzrin ancient Talmudic village and the synagogue. We finish the day in Hamat Gader mixing archeology and a swim in ancient hot springs.
